There will be a short-term drawdown for the Lake Tapps Reservoir this winter in conjunction with the installation and testing of valves at the Powerhouse. The drawdown will begin this weekend, and over the next three weeks the reservoir will be drawn down 6′ – 8′ to approximate elevation 536.5′. The reservoir will be maintained around that 536.5′ level, weather dependent, until refill begins in early March. If homeowners are considering improvements or new projects, early February to early March will be a good time to do them. Appropriate permits and a Cascade license need to be obtained before beginning construction.
