During the coming weeks Lake Tapps will be at historic low water levels and the lake bed will be visible and in many instances accessible. Cascade Water Alliance and law enforcement agencies warn the public that trespassing on the lake bed is prohibited.

Cascade Water Alliance will accept sealed bids at its offices for the Lake Tapps Dike 3 Seepage and Seismic Remediation Project, generally consisting of regrading the dike and construction of a concrete seepage barrier.

Lake Tapps is on its way down to historic low levels to allow Cascade to inspect, assess and fix all conveyances and systems. This means the lake bed is visible and in many instances accessible. Cascade owns the lake bed and, while the public is allowed to recreate on the waters of Lake Tapps, the public is not allowed on the lake bed for any reason.

Cascade will hold a public hearing at its offices on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. to receive testimony from interested persons to determine that the property shown below is surplus of Cascade’s needs, and that they may sell, discard, or trade in this property. This property will not be sold at this hearing.

Cascade Water Alliance, owner of the White River/Lake Tapps project, is making significant improvements and enhancements to the system. As a result, there will be a greatly increased amount of heavy truck traffic from Highway 410 at Park Avenue left onto North River Avenue towards the flume now throughout February.

The White River Lake Tapps improvement projects are underway and, to do all the necessary work, Cascade will drop lake levels up to one foot a day beginning Monday, September 15.
