Lake Levels Update – Drawdown

Cascade Water Alliance will be keeping the Lake Tapps Reservoir full through early to mid-October. The reservoir will slowly float down to about 540 feet by the end of October and remain there through the end of the year.  After Dec. 26, however, Cascade will bring the reservoir down quickly to about elevation 535 to 537 feet to allow Pierce County Parks to replace its retaining wall at North Lake Tapps Park.  It is expected that this project will be completed by the middle of February, when Cascade will begin its spring refill of the reservoir. Full recreational level should be reached, weather dependent, by April 15 as per agreements with the Lake Tapps Community Council.
