Cascade’s Water Shortage Management Plan has been deactivated effective today, Monday, December 11.
Rain this fall has substantially increased the water stored in reservoirs, and Cascade’s customers no longer need to voluntarily use less water. Moving to the Voluntary Stage stretched water supply and ensured enough water until sufficient rain was received to replenish the mountain reservoirs. This water savings was especially important given the below normal rain the area received from May 1 to October 1 this year, which was 27% of normal rainfall.
