Update from Cascade Water Alliance on Emergency Weather Event and Lake Tapps Reservoir Levels – Dec. 11, 2025 at 9:30 AM

Cascade is actively monitoring and managing Lake Tapps Reservoir water levels during the state-declared emergency atmospheric river weather event. Due to an ongoing construction project at Cascade’s headworks, no water is being diverted from the White River to the reservoir. However, heavy rain and runoff are adding water to the reservoir. Cascade is monitoring and managing water levels for dike and community safety. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is releasing extraordinary amounts of water from Mud Mountain Dam downstream to the White River. This has not directly impacted the reservoir at this time, and Cascade continues to closely monitor the situation.
