Cascade is committed to fire prevention in the White River – Lake Tapps Project and is working with local and State agencies on best management practices to protect these lands.

- Wildfire Ready Neighbors: Visit the Wildfire Ready Neighbors website to get a free wildfire ready plan that will help you reduce wildfire risk to your property and give you access to wildfire professionals. This is a collaborative effort between the Washington Department of Natural Resources and local partners that is designed to connect communities with tools to better prepare for wildfire season. Residents sign up online to receive a free Wildfire Ready Plan and can request an in-person home risk assessment or a forest health consultation.
- Firewise USA Program: A national recognition program for neighborhoods to understand wildfire risk and take action.
- National Fire Protection Association video on homeowner’s role in fire prevention: This video shows the importance of the homeowner’s role in preparing their home to survive wildfire, as well as the activities to prioritize.
